We, the regular people from regular countries the world over, have had enough images of tanks rolling, of little old ladies bloodied and in bandages, of children hurt, homes destroyed, soldiers killed. It's never OK to attack the sanctity of life - there is always room for diplomacy, compromise and negotiation.
How many more mothers, brothers, sisters, kids, pets, forests, rivers, species - lives - destroyed? For what? To satisfy yet another man's ego and deluded visions of grandeur, time and again, across the world.
We at UpEnd are taking a stand and saying Enough! We will post here resources, ideas, calls to action, and we will organize throughout our communities to do our best to bring a swift end to the suffering in Ukraine and elsewhere.
War is not wise! There is not one ancient human wisdom tradition, not one example in nature, not one sage or mystic or prophet who is not for reciprocity, peace, compassion - a web of life, that supports all life, in an ecosystem. It's time to grow out of Caesars, Napoleons, Hitlers and modern day tyrants and dictators, the world over.
Join our grassroots community of people who respect and appreciate humanity's and Earth's wisdoms and teaching - all of which point to sustaining life together and teach against destruction and force. It's time we too start living in a life-affirming way, starting today, starting with the suffering of the Ukranians, Agfhanese, Syrians, Yemenis, and so many others. Today!
